Process timeline

From brief checklist to installed joinery, the sequence below is how Caring Circle Rooms moves through a Vienna flat children's room. Left border and dots mark each stage so you can see where decisions land.

• Stage A

  Brief arrives with photos

  You send the numbered checklist from the home page plus phone photos of the room, corridor, and stair or lift. We confirm building type (Altbau or Neubau), sibling ages, and the fee band you selected. If a critical measure is missing — ceiling height or window width — we ask for that before booking a visit.

• Stage B

  On-site measure visit

  We spend roughly ninety minutes in the room with a laser measure, noting radiator depth, socket positions, and door swings. Children can stay present; we watch how they already use floor space. House rules on drilling and delivery hours are copied into the project sheet while we are still in the building.

• Stage C

  Layout options on paper

  Within about ten days you receive two layout options with bed, storage, and play or desk zones drawn to scale. A short written note explains trade-offs such as bunk versus two singles in a shared room. You mark preferred moves in the margins or by email; we do not freeze the plan until those notes return.

• Stage D

  Joinery and finish lock

  Approved geometry becomes joinery drawings with heights for rails, hooks, and shelves. Finish samples for wood tone, laminate, and textile are reviewed at the studio or on site. Lighting changes, if needed, are listed for your electrician with circuit notes rather than vague mood language.

• Stage E

  Install window and snag list

  Fitters install built-ins on agreed dates; freestanding pieces arrive on a separate delivery if ordered through us. We walk the room once for a snag list — soft-close adjustments, handle heights, curtain drop — and close the file when those items are done. How long a typical room takes

A single nursery or study corner often spans six to ten weeks from measure to install, depending on joinery lead times. Shared rooms with bunks or twin wardrobes can stretch to twelve weeks when custom carcasses are involved. Winter holiday blackout weeks in Vienna workshops are flagged early so expectations stay honest.

Your decisions at each stage

You decide the primary room job in Stage A, choose a layout in Stage C, and approve finishes in Stage D. We decide technical clearances, fixings compatible with your wall type, and supplier shortlists that match the fee band. That split keeps parents from drowning in hinge catalogues while still owning the daily-life choices.

When the process pauses

If a building manager delays lift booking or a wall opens onto unexpected wiring, we pause install rather than force a compromised wardrobe depth. You receive a written note of the blocker and the revised date once access returns. Fees already paid for completed stages stay credited; unused install days are rescheduled, not invented as new product lines.
